Here's my Dianna Strife. In this picture...it would appear that she's wearing a lovely lace dress, a mask, and gloves. Look closer. See that little bit of a marking peering out from beneath her side-swept bangs? Look familiar?

That's right! The Seal of Orichalcos!

This is another major part to my story. Dartz...former king of Atlantis ends up marrying Hannah's mother Lucinda. This is before Hannah and Cloud start dating. Hannah adores her step-father...and considers him her own blood. After she and Cloud begin dating...she realizes that these odd markings (that are barely visible and look like opal) have been appearing on her body. Dartz starts to suspect something...and touches her forehead with an Orichalcos stone. The minute the stone touches her forehead, the opal-colored markings become a very visible lime green. These are referred to as the markings of Doma. (my own idea) The mark of Orichalcos has six points and a center. The four outer points represent air, water, fire, and earth. The top and bottom points represent light and darkness. The center of the circle represents the soul...or element spirit. Hannah is gifted with air. Eventually, the darkness in hear heart spreads enough to complete the markings...and she becomes a bad*** dark-angel-goddess of doom! She is covered in a second skin (which is midnight-black and looks like dull leather) and her eyes turn completely ghost-white. The very same thing happens to her friends Misty (earth), Tundra (water), and Karen (fire). Only Dartz has been gifted with spirit. Cloud becomes marked as well...but his mark is merely a seal surrounded by three extra rings.

Dianna and Clarie are different from the others. Their markings grow rapidly...but Claire's darkness is so great that in order to keep it under control...Dianna takes half of them herself. Dianna's markings don't grow out of the darkness in her own heart...but from the darkness of the one who is closest to it. Dianna has no darkness in her heart at all.

Claire's element ends up being darkness...and Dianna's light.

Dianna's markings are intricate and lacy. They spread over her eyes like a mask, then the outer looping laces around the back of her neck and meets across her throat. From that choker-like marking, two others sprout and extend to the outskirts of her chest. A third looping mark comes from the center of her throat and flows down to her chest...outlining the center of her collarbone and diving between her cleavage. More of the loopy tattooing wraps around her arms right beneath her shoulders and reaches down to her hands. Her sides are marked by the same pattern, and her six pack is covered in the lacy tattoos. She also has them in places that can't be shown...but you can see some of the lacy markings peering over the top of her actual dress (which covers her chest like a tube-top and finishes by plummeting just below her bust in a triangular manner.) Her dress is white...and it represents her Light element affinity. The Orichalcos stone dangles from where the material meets.

...I'm pretty sure I'll find something wrong with this picture later... Until then...I'm going to enjoy it.
